The Santa Fe High School Band Program is committed to the belief that music is an integral part of a student's emotional and intellectual development and every student should have an opportunity to participate. A music education teaches self-discipline, positive work habits, and team skills. These are skills that will serve students throughout their lives, whether they go on to become performers or engineers. In addition, music is part of a well-rounded education, providing students with an emotional and expressive release during the day.
